It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Skip Tillar, a cherished husband, friend, and community member from Cincinnati, Ohio. Skip’s loss is felt profoundly by family, friends, and all who knew him, as his warmth, kindness, and zest for life left a lasting mark on everyone around him.
Skip was a proud family man, married to Chyenne Rose, and a loving presence in the lives of those closest to him. He carried a spirit of adventure and community, often remembered fondly as a co-owner of Hurricane Hole Marina in Key West, Florida—a place where laughter and camaraderie flourished, even in the coldest of moments.
Educated at Moeller High School and College of Applied Science, University of Cincinnati, Skip carried his dedication and passion into every aspect of his life. He was someone who made lasting connections, supported those around him, and brought joy wherever he went. His generosity of spirit, humor, and steadfast friendship will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Gilligans Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at St. Saviors Church at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow. A celebration of life will take place at McAuleys around 1:30 p.m., honoring Skip’s vibrant life and the memories he leaves behind.
Skip Tillar’s legacy will live on through the love he shared, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched. Though his passing leaves a deep void, the joy, laughter, and kindness he brought into the world will never be forgotten.
